5/20/2013

Farleigh Wada Witt received the 2013 Hope Award from the Oregon/SW Washington Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). Each year the local chapter recognizes service that is given "over and above" to JDRF and the Oregon/SW Washington Chapter. Founding shareholder Scott Farleigh accepted the Hope Award during JDRF's 2013 Hope Gala on May 4.

"Farleigh Wada Witt has been a loyal and valued supporter of JDRF and the chapter for many years. They have been involved in every way possible – from providing volunteer leadership to the chapter to a strong walk team to continuing sponsorships of both the walk and gala," said Judy Summers, Executive Director of the JDRF Oregon/SW Washington Chapter.

Scott Farleigh has given extraordinary service to the local chapter for more than a decade, including a term as board president and a six year term of board service. He has also been selected and serves as a member of the chapter honorary board of directors.

"Scott and the company are solid examples of true JDRF spirit and exemplary service and we deeply thank them for this ongoing dedication and support," said Judy.

Farleigh Wada Witt is honored to receive the 2013 Hope Award from JDRF. Several members of the firm have a family member or friend who is affected by diabetes, and we wholeheartedly support JDRF's primary mission of finding a cure for Type 1 diabetes.
