Farleigh Wada Witt was formed in 1981 with one purpose and a world of ambition. Our mission then was the same as it is today: To provide timely and effective legal service and guide clients to success in a competitive marketplace. Civic and Professional Involvement

Our attorneys devote substantial time each year to our community through volunteer efforts and pro bono legal work. The following are a few examples of our civic and professional activities:

Pro Bono Bankruptcy Clinic

The Pro Bono Bankruptcy Clinic is a free service provided by the lawyers of the Oregon State Bar Debtor-Creditor Section in partnership with Legal Aid Services of Oregon. Valerie Tomasi chairs the committee that originated in 1993, and also runs the Pro Bono Bankruptcy Clinic. Jason Ayres, Michelle Bertolino, Kim McGair, Chris Parnell, Tara Schleicher, Hal Scoggins, Valerie Tomasi each represent two to four clients per year through the pro bono bankruptcy clinic.

Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation

Scott Farleigh is past president of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) for Oregon/SW Washington, and Farleigh Wada Witt is a Gold Sponsor for the annual JDRF Walk for the Cure. JDRF is the leading charitable funder and advocate of type 1 (juvenile) diabetes research worldwide. The mission of JDRF is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research. Farleigh Wada Witt is proud to be a continuing sponsor of JDRF.

Mercy Corps 

Mercy Corps is an international humanitarian relief agency with its North American base in Portland, Oregon. Its mission is to alleviate suffering, poverty and oppression by helping people build secure, productive and just communities.
